Objectives

The main objective of this workpackage, led by itrust, is to design the comparative test profile and evaluate business impact through demonstration in selected customer premises.

Description of the works

The test of the system (PL + receiver)  performed by the engineering team, will be replicated in a customer premise, typically a shopping mall in Luxembourg and France.

• Evaluate and improve the scientific and technological performance of the system (location accuracy distribution , location service availability, suitability for implementation on mass market chips).
• Assess the overall cost/performance ratio of this technology compared to competing ones while securing that it is expandable in mass market products.
• Provide real measurements and demonstration of the results on Galileo signals (the development of a Galileo pseudolite prototype is a key part of this project).
• Compare the cost and performance of the developed solution to the cost and performance of existing localisation technology system like WiFi.
• Validate the robustness and performance of the overall system (test of resilience and real time functioning) based on the security requirements.
• Audit  the system configuration to assess security aspects of each component.
• Analyse the feedbacks from users, reviewing market potential and deriving a business and exploitation plan of i-Going.
